saksit_immob_70pcThe research program of the project focuses on understanding the elements of tiger ecology that can best inform effective management and recovery efforts. An international team of project scientists maintain a long-term reseach program based at Khao Nang Rum Wildlife Research Station and advise projects in Thailand and other tiger range states.
The primary research themes of the project include:
  • Understanding tiger movements and land tenure in diverse ecological settings
  • Understanding tiger population structure and dynamics through genetic analysis and other methods
  • Understanding tiger / habitat relationships
  • Improving and refining research methodologies
