tiger_logit_summary_by_esu_smallTiger populations face threats throughout their range. Additionally, efforts are being made to restore prey and other habitat needs in many areas. To measure the effects of these threats and conservation efforts on tiger populations, ongoing monitoring efforts are critical.

The Thailand Tiger Project conducts monitoring activities at several spatial scales. At the highest resolution, GPS collars give researchers information on how individual tigers move about the landscape. At a larger scale, these data provide information on interactions between tigers-documenting mating events and the establishment of new territories by dispersing young. At the landscape scale, the project works to provide insight into how tiger distribution is changing throughout Western Thailand.
